About A Providence of One
A Providence of One (APO) is an easy and peaceful web site for people who love to read. At APO we are trying to keep the site a place to go and get away to read something memorable and short. The site does not take ads nor does it want to fill up the main page with colorful places to click. We aim to keep the site free of the way other web sites operate. We won’t attack you with sales pitches, ask you for your credit card numbers or ask you to login.
The site is about serenity. The site is about that moment when you can sit and relax, drink a cup and enjoy reading a story. The stories we post daily are simple, short and written by one author who uses her inside voice to describe life – busy and overwhelming. We hope the stories catch your attention, warm your heart or even seem similar to your own experiences. Above all we hope that you will make us part of your daily journey, coming to us to find that moment of tranquility.
If you miss a day, you can read it on the main page until the end of the month. Then you can find the stories archived by months. It’s that easy.
The Future of A Providence of One:
At this time, we are hoping to make the stories available to you to in an ebook-style download and read in their entirety rather than pulling up disjointed pages from the archives. We are planning on debuting stories that are longer in length and feel that the download option would be useful in keeping the time on the web page short. However, the options to read the stories on the web site will always be there.
By summer time, we plan on taking submissions and turning toward a multi-voiced web page. We may even offer contests and poetry options, the summer promises many colored things at APO.
Sorry, we are unable to take any submissions at this time

About the Author:
I received a Bachelors Degree in psychology at San Diego State University and a Masters in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from the University of San Diego. I am the author of many short stories, having written in many genres such as poetry, prose and essays.
I moved to New York City where I live on the only island found in Mid Town Manhattan East, Roosevelt Island. I work in downtown Brooklyn, down the F line, as a Social Worker and course through life’s pages looking for the right moment to inspire my next short story or poem.
